Hey all,
I was wondering if there are any accessible portable DVD players on the market because I wanted to buy one. But, I didn't want to get one that I wouldn't be able to use by myself.
Thanks.

Depends on what you call accessible. I haven't heard of any especially made for blind folks, but I think any DVD player is basically accessible once you either get some eyes to help you map out hte buttons or else you just do trial and error and figure it out yourself. It's not like you'll break anything, really. I'd say if possible, find whatever brand and model you want within your budget and see if you can get the manual for it on-line, like in a .pdf file. You can then at least read the file and learn how to operate the thing. Unless you're going ot get your player from a drugstore, you might get help from the salesperson in hte store to learn the layout of hte player, just depending. I discovered people are pretty helpful at Best Buy, for example, but I'm not sure how helpful somebody at a Walmart or Target might be, but it's worth asking.
